As a result of decades of experience in outdoor activities, and with safety management experience from other industries, our procedures are robust and effective.
HSE Legislation ensures that an objective and independent assessment of procedures is carried out by the Adventure Activities Licencing Scheme. Any provider of activities for particpants under 18 years of age must have an AALA Licence.
In addition to safety management, quality control and compliance with the prescriptive scope of DofE, training is controlled via the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Approved Activity Provider Scheme (AAP) which is administered by Award Scheme Limited.
Venture On is fully insured with a well-established broker who specialises in outdoor activities.

Expeditions
Venture On has been organising and running successful expeditions since 1994. We work alongside schools and orgnisations to deliver safe but challenging experiences for young people.
- All of our routes comply to official regulations, as set out by the Award Scheme.
- All of our staff are qualified Mountain Leaders.
- Amongst our staff are Accredited Duke of Edinburgh's Award Assessors.
- Our training sessions are written and constructed by qualified teachers to ensure differentiation and adaptibilty.

The Aim of the Expedition Section
To inspire young people to develop initiative and a spirit of adventure and discovery by planning, training for and completing an adventurous self-sufficient journey as part of a team. Participants choose where and how they want to do their expedition.
